AI for restaurants, cafés and cloud kitchens in Dubai
AI for restaurants in Dubai is most useful for the messages that pile up during service: table requests on WhatsApp, Instagram questions about brunch, a one-star delivery review that needs a calm reply. We start with a Kick-Start by video that sets up three of those jobs on your own accounts, then build further only if they earn their keep.
From £395 (about $520)
Based in the UK, working by video with businesses in Dubai and the UAE. Dubai is three or four hours ahead of the UK.
Why Dubai F&B is a good fit
Competition for covers is intense. Dubai Municipality recorded about 2,336 new food establishments opening in the first half of 2025 alone, and carried out 34,700 inspection visits in the same six months (Dubai Media Office, July 2025). Diners book on WhatsApp and Instagram, order through Talabat and other delivery apps, and judge you on reviews before they arrive.
Floor teams are too busy to answer messages during service. The place that confirms a table for eight within minutes at 8pm on a Thursday gets the booking, and AI can draft that reply while your host seats people.

Allergens stay with a person
Dubai Municipality's food code requires food establishments to declare the most common allergenic ingredients when they are present in food prepared or sold, which brought changes to menus and labels when it was introduced (Khaleej Times, 2013). The Municipality also publishes a guide to calorie declaration for food establishments; check with Dubai Municipality whether it applies to your outlet today.
An AI that guesses whether the satay sauce contains peanuts is a serious risk. So our set-up has one firm rule: allergen and dietary questions get a standard reply and go to a named member of staff, who answers from the kitchen's allergen matrix. The AI can tell the guest that a person will confirm, and pass on the dish and the allergy. It does not answer itself.
Worked example: a group booking on WhatsApp
-
18:05, the message
"Table for 12 on Friday for a birthday, around 9pm? One person is coeliac." -
18:06, the reply
The assistant confirms it can check Friday, asks for a name and whether they would like the set menu, and says a manager will confirm the coeliac options personally. -
18:08, the details
The guest sends a name and picks the set menu. The assistant sends the group terms from your approved list, including any deposit. -
18:09, the handover
Your events manager gets a summary: party of 12, Friday 21:00, birthday, set menu, one coeliac guest flagged. -
18:30, the person
The manager checks the floor plan, confirms the table and sends the gluten-free options from the kitchen's own list. -
Friday, the reminder
A confirmation goes out in the morning with the location pin and parking note.
Delivery app review replies in Dubai, done carefully
- Name the actual problemCold food, a late rider, a wrong item and portion size need different replies.
- Don't argue in publicEven when delivery was at fault, the draft stays polite and offers a contact route.
- No promises the kitchen can't keep"We've passed this to the kitchen team" is honest; "this will not happen again" is not.
- A manager approves, then looks for patternsEvery draft is approved before posting, and a monthly summary shows what reviews mention most, so you fix the cause.
Restaurant WhatsApp reservations: rules and offers
Offers and promotions in Dubai can need a permit from the Department of Economy and Tourism, particularly prize draws and discount campaigns, so check with DET before the AI starts sending a promotion. Marketing messages need the customer's consent under the UAE PDPL (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), and WhatsApp marketing templates are the category Meta charges most for; see our page on WhatsApp chatbot cost in Dubai.
Guest data, such as phone numbers and birthdays, stays in your own WhatsApp Business account, booking system and sheets. Our access from the UK is set up with you so the transfer basis is written down, and you stay the controller. For neighbouring sectors see AI for Dubai holiday homes and AI for Dubai clinics.
We are also building the JHC Sector Agent, which will answer booking and event enquiries on your own WhatsApp Business number, take a deposit by payment link where your provider supports it, and hand over to your team. It is in build, with no price or launch date: join the early list. More on buying from the UAE is on our UAE page.
Prices
Pay by card online in pounds sterling. No UK VAT is added; a VAT-registered UAE business usually accounts for 5% itself under the reverse charge. The Kick-Start fee is credited against Managed AI set-up or a build of £1,000 or more within 60 days.
Questions people ask
Can AI take restaurant reservations on WhatsApp in Dubai?
It can gather the booking details and pass them to your booking system or host. We usually keep final confirmation of large groups with a person.
Should AI answer allergy questions?
No. Allergen questions go to a named member of staff who answers from the kitchen's allergen list. The AI only passes the question on.
Can AI reply to delivery app reviews?
It can draft replies for a manager to approve and post, on any app that lets restaurants respond to reviews. We don't post anything automatically at first.
How much does it cost to start?
The Kick-Start is £395 (about $520) by video, with three jobs set up. Single automations start from £395 (from $520).
