AI consultancy for businesses in Guyana
Guyana's economy has grown faster than almost anywhere, and many firms in Georgetown are doing more work with the same people because skilled staff are hard to find. AI won't hire for you, but it can take the drafting, chasing and form-filling off the people you have. We start with an audit of where the time goes, then build on your own accounts, by video from the UK, at prices agreed in writing.
From £995 (about $1,320)
Based in the UK, working by video with businesses in Guyana. Georgetown is four or five hours behind the UK.

Why AI fits Guyana now
The World Bank's October 2026 outlook shows the non-oil economy growing 14.3% in 2025, and lists skilled labour shortages among the main risks. For an owner that is familiar: more tenders, guests and projects, and not enough experienced people to write the paperwork.
That is where AI helps. Drafting a capability statement from last year's, turning site notes into a daily report, answering booking questions at midnight. It leaves your staff more time for the work only they can do.
Oil companies spent about US$743 million with Guyanese businesses and workers in 2024, and the first half of 2026 reached about US$466.2 million in the priority areas. Each contract brings bids, reports and compliance files. English is the working language, so mainstream AI tools fit without translation.
The rules, plainly
- Data protection. The Data Protection Act 2023 is passed but only takes effect when the Minister issues a commencement order; check its status with your attorney. We build to UK GDPR standards anyway: minimum data, named access, records in your own systems.
- Oil and gas work. The Local Content Act 2021 governs who supplies the petroleum sector and how operators report it. See our page for oil and gas suppliers.
- Client confidentiality. Operator and contractor agreements often carry confidentiality terms stricter than any statute. We read those with you before any client document goes near an AI tool.

Buying from Guyana
You can pay online by card in pounds sterling, or by invoice. Request an invoice and pay by international bank transfer within 7 days; your bank can usually send it from a US dollar account. We aren't VAT registered, so there's no UK VAT; ask your accountant whether any local tax applies to imported services.
Start with a free 15-minute video call. If an audit is too much for a smaller firm, we'll suggest the AI Kick-Start at £395 (about $520). Our WhatsApp agent for enquiries, the JHC Sector Agent, is in build, with an early list but no price or date. More on working with us from abroad: AI for growing markets.

Questions people ask
Is there an AI consultancy that works with Guyana by video?
We're a UK consultancy working with Guyanese businesses entirely by video, inside your own accounts. Morning calls your time suit both sides.
Does Guyana have a data protection law that covers AI?
The Data Protection Act 2023 is passed but depends on a commencement order. Check its status with your attorney; we work to UK GDPR standards meanwhile.
Why start with an audit rather than a build?
It ranks the places AI could help by time saved and cost, and the fee is credited against a build of £2,000 or more within 60 days.
Can we pay in US dollars?
Our price is in pounds sterling, but your bank can send the transfer from a US dollar account.
Do you have staff in Georgetown?
No. We're UK based, led by founder Ross Hayes, who builds software for his own businesses. All work is remote.

Who you'll work with
James Hayes Consulting is a UK AI consultancy led by Ross Hayes, who builds software for his own businesses and uses AI tools in them every day. We work with overseas businesses by video, set AI up on your real work, and tell you straight if something isn’t worth paying for.
Every project starts with a free 15-minute video call. Prices are in pounds sterling and agreed in writing before you commit; UK VAT isn’t added.
