AI consultancy for Johannesburg and Gauteng businesses

Our AI consultancy works with Johannesburg, Sandton, Midrand and Pretoria firms whose days are full of documents: client files, compliance packs, tender forms and delivery queries. We set AI up inside the Microsoft 365 or Google accounts you already pay for, by video from the UK, at a price fixed before anything starts.

From £395 (about $520)

Based in the UK, working by video with businesses in South Africa. South Africa is one or two hours ahead of the UK.

Why a Gauteng business needs a different plan

The Stats SA provincial GDP release for 2024 puts Gauteng at a third of the national economy, and at 43% of the country's finance, real estate and business services. That is the Sandton and Rosebank pattern: head offices, banks, insurers, brokers, auditors and law firms, with Pretoria's government departments up the N1.

So the first wins here are rarely WhatsApp chat for walk-in customers. They are internal: a compliance officer reconciling three versions of a policy, a bid team rebuilding the same supplier pack for every department, a logistics controller answering "where is my delivery" emails from five branches. These jobs live in Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Excel, so we start inside your existing tenancy rather than adding another app.

Most firms are still early. In the FSCA and Prudential Authority survey only about one in ten financial institutions used AI at all, though half the banks did. A mid-size firm with its document work running properly is ahead of most peers.

One government tender, worked through

A made-up example. A Centurion facilities firm spots a cleaning services tender from a national department on the eTender portal, closing in 21 days.

  1. The bid pack is read in minutes

The assistant lists scope, closing date, briefing session, returnable documents and how the 80/20 points are awarded, on one page.
  2. Supplier status checked

A tracker shows whether your Central Supplier Database profile, tax status and B-BBEE evidence are current.
  3. Forms listed, not signed

Every SBD form and declaration goes on a checklist with an owner. The AI fills nothing in for you.
  4. Methodology drafted

The service plan and staffing approach are drafted from your last three submissions, each paragraph tagged with its source.
  5. Pricing done by people

Your finance lead prices the bill of quantities. Rates, margins and the specific goals claim stay with people.
  6. Sign-off and the archive

A director signs, and the final version joins the library the next tender draws on.

Rules that shape a Gauteng set-up

  • FAIS and the FSCA. Financial advice comes from an authorised financial services provider or its representatives. An assistant can explain your process and prepare paperwork; it does not recommend products.
  • Procurement regulations. The 2022 Preferential Procurement Regulations set the points systems. Every claim in a bid must be provable, so AI drafts only from your records.
  • POPIA inside a head office. SharePoint folders are often shared too widely. We tighten who sees what before an AI tool can search them.
  • Client confidentiality. Audit, legal and advisory engagement letters can limit where client data goes. We read those clauses with you first.

A planning summary, not legal advice.

Buying from Gauteng

You can pay online by card, or run the order on an invoice: ask for one and settle it by international bank transfer within 7 days. Your procurement team gets a proper invoice and written scope for the supplier file. We aren't VAT registered, so no UK VAT is charged; your accountant can say whether South African VAT on imported services applies.

Start with a free 15-minute video call. The South Africa page covers POPIA in depth, and Western Cape firms should see the Cape Town page. Our WhatsApp enquiry agent, the JHC Sector Agent, is in build, with an early list but no price or date.

Questions people ask

Is there an AI agency in Gauteng that works by video?

We're a UK consultancy, not a Gauteng office, and do all the work by video inside your own accounts. Johannesburg is one hour ahead of London for most of the year, so office hours overlap well.

Can AI help us respond to government tenders?

It can summarise the bid pack, list every returnable document and draft the methodology from your past bids. Pricing, declarations and signatures stay with your directors.

Can our financial advisers use ChatGPT with client information?

Not on a personal account. A business AI tier inside your firm's Microsoft or Google account, with an AI policy, is the safer route, and advice itself stays with authorised representatives.

We already pay for Microsoft 365. Do we need another AI tool?

Often not at first. Copilot Chat comes with most business plans; the work is in checking file permissions and teaching staff to use it on real tasks.
