AI help for businesses and AI lessons at home in Broadstairs

Broadstairs packs a lot into its year: the Dickens Festival every June, and Folk Week every August with more than 400 events. Behind them are guest houses, cafés, shops and organisers juggling bookings and volunteers, plus small firms in offices such as the Kent Innovation Centre near Westwood Cross. I help businesses like these use AI, and anyone in Broadstairs or St Peter's can book a one-to-one AI lesson at home.

How a Kick-Start works for a Broadstairs business

  1. Before

A free 15-minute call about what your business does and where the time goes. If you don't need me, I'll tell you.

  2. On the day

Half a day at your premises, £395. We look at your week, the software you already pay for and any AI your staff already use, and I set up three quick wins before I leave.

  3. Afterwards

Your written plan arrives within three working days. If you go on to Managed AI set-up, or a build quoted at £1,000 or more, within 60 days, the fee is credited in full.

Networks, free help and further reading

The Broadstairs & St Peter's Chamber of Commerce has more than 150 members. If it, or any local group, would like a speaker on AI, I offer talks and staff briefings for businesses, and free talks for community clubs.

Broadstairs has no Digital Hub listed at present. The nearest free ones are at Margate Library (fourth Thursday, afternoons) and Ramsgate Library (fourth Wednesday, mornings), and they're the right first step if you need help getting online.

If you work from the Kent Innovation Centre or you're just starting out, see AI for startups and new businesses and AI meeting notes, set up safely.

Questions from Broadstairs

Can AI help organise festival volunteers?

It can turn people's availability into a draft rota and write the reminder messages. A person should check the rota, and volunteers' contact details belong in a tool you trust.

We rent space at the Kent Innovation Centre. Will you come there?

Yes. It's in Thanet, so a business visit there carries no travel charge.

Can a family member be there for the lesson?

Yes, bring whoever you like. You do all the typing of passwords yourself, there's nothing to buy on the day, and I'll go whenever you say.

Do I need to buy Microsoft Copilot licences for my office?

Not necessarily. Copilot Chat already comes free with Microsoft 365 business plans, and that may be enough to start. Paid licences add Copilot inside Word, Excel and PowerPoint (checked October 2026).
